Who it's for
Built for English learners from intermediate level up, and for native speakers who like a quick grammar check. There's no history of English and no "what is an adverb?". Every question is a sentence you might actually say or write.
How a round works
- 10 questions, about 2 minutes. A new set goes live every day, and everyone gets the same one.
- Easy or HARD. Easy gives you 4 choices. HARD gives you none: type the answer for double points.
- 15 seconds per question. After that you can still answer, but you can't win points.
- Points by difficulty: +1 / +2 / +3 🔥 for a right answer, −3 / −2 / −1 for a wrong one. Guessing has a price.
- Streaks, leaderboards and groups: one right answer a day keeps your streak alive.
Questions
Is the English quiz for learners or native speakers?
Both. Questions mix everyday grammar with the traps that catch native speakers too (fewer vs. less, who vs. whom). In HARD mode you type the missing word yourself with no choices, which is a real test of active vocabulary.
What level is it?
Roughly intermediate (B1) to advanced (C1). Each day mixes easy, medium and hard questions, and harder questions earn more points.
Is the English quiz free?
Yes. Play any one subject a day for free, as a guest or with a free account. SERIOUS unlocks every subject, every day.
